MEET OUR TEAM AT TOSCANO

GIANNI BETTI was born and raised in Regello, Italy, in the heart of Tuscany. After graduating from the Instituto

Alberghiero Aurelio Saffi in Florence, he and his brothers opened their first restaurant Fattoria degli Usignoli in

the countryside of Florence. After two successful years, Gianni came to the U.S. to work as a chef for Germano's Trattoria Petrucci in Baltimore, Maryland, where he met Linda, and Cibo e Beve became an idea. Then, Gianni returned to Italy to open Antica Posta Restaurant and Bed & Breakfast in the heart of the Chianti region, a food connoisseur's destination in the Tuscan restaurant guidebooks. In 2008 he came back to the U.S. to work as an executive chef with Posta Tuscan in Raleigh, North Carolina. He eventually joined his brothers in Atlanta as an executive chef and general manager for Antica Posta in Buckhead. In 2018 Gianni and Linda opened the doors to Cibo e Beve, and now, Toscano in 2021.

As an award winning chef, Gianni Betti has appeared on numerous television shows and has been featured

in multiple newspaper and magazine articles. His love of food and people make him a welcoming presence.

CHEF LINDA HARRELL brings more than 30 years of excitement to her restaurants creating celebratory Italian cuisine. Linda received her culinary foundation and formal European training working with acclaimed Chef Daniel Yves Abid, a protégé of Alain Ducasse, at Kingsmill Resorts in Williamsburg, Virginia. Chef Harrell has cooked at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City andwas featured on the National ABC-TV show "Eat & Greet." She was a contestant on Food Network shows "Kitchen Inferno"and "Beat Bobby Flay." She has been featured in publications such as the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Baltimore Sun, Baltimore magazine, Flavors and Atlanta magazine. She is a member of Les Dames D'Escoffier International and actively participates in demonstrations and benefits throughout Atlanta.

IRVIN TORRES was born and raised in San Marcos Guerrero, Mexico. After moving to America as a child, he began working in the food industry at the age of 16. Irvin worked with Woodfire Grill on Cheshire Bridge for a few years, then joined Chef Remy at Le Giverny Bistro where he stayed for 10 years managing and serving guests.

The last three years he's spent working at Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs, organizing and assisting Gianni Betti,

the owner of the restaurant. Irvin is excited to move to Atlantic Station and begin this new direction as manager of Toscano Atlanta with Gianni and Chef Linda.

CHEF JOHN HULTS began working in the business at Germano’s in 1991 with Chef Linda and Gianni.

Since then, he’s worked his way up the ranks from cook to sous chef, then, eventually chef at several

popular eateries in Baltimore, NOLA, L.A. and NY. We are excited that John’s path brings him full circle

to Atlanta to work alongside Chef Linda and Gianni as head chef at Toscano.

GONZALO DE ARISTEGUI  began his career with Coke in 1990, and spanned over 20 years in 4 continents, with

positions in Marketing, Customer Management and Franchise operations.  He oversaw VITAMINWater Greater China, responsible for leading one of Coca-Cola’s largest global business opportunities. In 2018 he expanded into restaurant management to collaborate with chef Linda Harrell and Gianni Betti. Together they manage Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs and Toscano at Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta.

Gonzalo received an MBA from Columbia Business School (New York) and London Business School, studied at Northwestern University and is a graduate of Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) with a degree in business

and marketing. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and also speaks French and German.

Toscano is the creation of chefs Gianni Betti and Linda Harrell. Working together at an Italian restaurant

in Baltimore in 1993, they discovered they shared the same dream to create a restaurant specializing in authentic

Italian cuisine featuring unique family recipes and traditional ingredients from Italy.

Twenty-five years later, they opened Cibo e Beve in Sandy Springs with Gonzalo de Aristegui.

On September 1st, 2021 they opened the doors to their second restaurant

in Atlantic Station. Toscano Ristorante Italiano will feature one-of-a-kind Tuscan recipes and

select family favorites, along with speciality coffees, desserts, panini sandwiches,

pizza, craft cocktails and an award-winning wine list.

What a great addition to Atlantic Station!

I was just saying to friends that we need a great Italian restaurant in Atlantic Station.

The food was so delicious!

Service was top notch as well!

I highly suggest you get out and support this amazing restaurant!!

FIVE STARS _ James Wentz

What an amazing restaurant!

I am a long time customer of Cibo e Beve

which is Toscanos sister restaurant.

Best Italian food you can get period.

FIVE STARS _ Henry Grayman

I have been so excited about having a good Italian restaurant nearby and was not disappointed! While I do miss Meehans Irish Pub, I’m so happy with what replaced it. I had the spicy chicken penne and an Aperol Spritz and both were delicious! Service was great and

I love what they’ve done with the interior.

We’ll be coming here often for sure.
